Reciprocating gas compressors move and recover gases with piston-driven, gas-tight compression — the technology behind liquefied gas transfer and vapor recovery. In LPG service, the compressor pushes vapor into one vessel to move liquid to another, then reverses to recover the remaining vapor, capturing product that would otherwise be vented or lost. Blackmer's® line covers three duties: LB Series compressors for propane, butane, LPG, and anhydrous ammonia transfer and recovery; HD Series compressors for industrial and process gases from CO2 and nitrogen to refrigerants, with oil-free options and pressures to 1,000 psia; and NG Series compressors purpose-built for natural gas boosting and gathering. Shop factory-direct from the PSG® Store.

Tell us the gas, vessel or system pressures, and your transfer time target. We'll match the LB, HD, or NG compressor for the duty.
