Conventional diaphragm designs feature an outer piston, creating a “product-trap” zone that is susceptible to abrasion, wear, and leakage. Reduced-stroke Integral Piston Diaphragms (IPDs) avoid that trap but usually limit flow and suction lift — in some cases by as much as 50%.
By removing the outer piston, Chem-Fuse™ diaphragms eliminate this critical failure mode. And because they use a full-stroke, integral piston design, they retain or improve performance, making them suitable for more demanding fluid services.
Chem-Fuse™ IPDs represent a significant advancement in conventional diaphragm pumps, a type of positive displacement technology. The one-piece design eliminates the outer piston, reducing abrasion, leak potential, and maintenance.
In chemical diaphragm pumps, you can’t accept weak links. Traditional diaphragms and many reduced-stroke IPDs introduce tradeoffs: either you sacrifice durability or performance. Chem-Fuse™ diaphragms sidestep that compromise. They combine full-stroke design with an integral piston, eliminating leak zones while preserving or enhancing flow and suction.
Chem-Fuse™ diaphragms are engineered for robustness, compatibility, and versatility. Key specs include:
Chem-Fuse™ Benefits summary:
Chem-Fuse™ diaphragms are ideal where pump integrity, chemical compatibility, and reliability are non-negotiable:
Chem-Fuse™ is more than a diaphragm — it’s a performance leap. Unlike conventional diaphragms or suboptimal IPDs, it doesn’t force tradeoffs. Its one-piece integral design eliminates product trap zones while preserving full-stroke performance. That translates into higher uptime, safer operation, and lower lifecycle cost.
